Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, hands-on professional to lead and manage the full spectrum of our farm-based retail, hospitality, and event operations. This unique role combinesevent and experience managementwithgrocery and food retail leadership, requiring both creative vision and operational expertise. From producing immersive seasonal attractions and live events to ensuring smooth daily operations of the farm grocery store and back-of-house kitchen, this position calls for a dynamic leader who thrives in fast-paced, customer-focused environments.

The ideal candidate is equally skilled at high-level project planning and on-the-ground execution, with the ability to oversee budgets, staff, compliance, and logisticswhile also jumping in to build out a pumpkin patch, coordinate a festival, or troubleshoot a kitchen issue.

Key Responsibilities

Event & Hospitality Management

• Develop, plan, and oversee a year-round calendar of farm events, festivals, workshops, and seasonal attractions (e.g., pumpkin patch, Christmas tree lot, spring festival).
• Lead event projects from concept to completion, including timelines, budgets, permitting, and task assignments.
• Coordinate and supervise event vendors, performers, volunteers, and guest experiences.
• Personally oversee and support hands-on event builds, dcor installations, and farm-based attractions.
• Partner with marketing to promote events and ensure a cohesive brand experience.
• Track attendance, revenue, and guest feedback to improve programming year over year.

Retail Grocery

• Oversee daily operations of the farm grocery store, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and exceptional customer service.
• Manage inventory and procurement for both grocery and kitchen, ensuring accurate stock levels, minimizing waste, and maintaining quality standards.
• Implement effective merchandising, pricing, and promotional strategies to drive sales.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, health, and sanitation standards across grocery and kitchen operations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff on menu planning, catering opportunities, and seasonal food offerings.
• Monitor financial performance, prepare reports, and manage budgets for both events and retail operations.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead a multidisciplinary team spanning event staff, grocery associates, and other on-site staff.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable workplace culture that prioritizes hospitality and guest experience.
• Provide ongoing training and create development opportunities to strengthen staff skills and retention.
• Serve as a visible, hands-on leader, setting the tone for professionalism, efficiency, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Proven professional experience inevent managementand/orhospitality, with additional background inretail, grocery, or food service management.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and departments simultaneously.
• Knowledge ofevent permitting, local compliance, food service regulations, and safety protocols.
• Proficiency inExcel, technology tools, budgeting, and inventory systems.
• Creative, adaptable problem-solver comfortable switching between strategic planning and physical, hands-on work.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and around animals.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
