About the role

Join Reading Truck as a hands-on installer building purpose-built commercial vehicles. Reporting to a Shop Supervisor, you’ll assemble and integrate truck bodies and accessories that meet exacting specifications.

Primary responsibilities

• Install service utility, stake, and dump bodies on commercial chassis.
• Fit and fasten plows and a wide range of upfit components.
• Mount hitches, interior storage (shelves and drawers), ladder racks, mud flaps, and related hardware.
• Adhere to safety policies and all PPE requirements at all times.
• Work alongside and train with other mechanics when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.

Qualifications

• Mechanical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with hand/power tools; basic welding experience helpful.
• Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and follow direction.
