Tax Manager
This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home each week.
We are partnering with a top CPA firm offering accounting, tax, and consulting services from Melbourne and Orlando. Their mission focuses on building strong client relationships to deliver effective solutions. They prioritize independence and clear career paths for employees, supported by a dedicated team of professionals.
As a Tax Manager , you will
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to tax staff.
- Manage the development of tax staff through:
- Recruitment
- Performance evaluation
- Training
- Coaching
- Serve as a resource for tax preparers and specialists.
- Assist with inquiries and oversee larger tax returns.
- Ensure client confidentiality at all times.
- Interact directly with clients to build relationships.
- Plan and manage tax project workflows effectively.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to discussions.
- Assist with the preparation of various documents.
- Represent clients before tax authorities when needed.
- Handle administrative tasks related to tax projects.
- Demonstrate a strong passion for client service.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or related field
- Valid Florida CPA license or equivalent
- 6+ years of public accounting experience with strong client relationship skills
- 2+ years of client representation before tax authorities
- Proficiency in US GAAP and tax software
- 40+ hours of continuing professional education annually
- Active member of AICPA and FICPA
