Hotel Security Officer 

Schedule: Friday & Saturday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Shift: Overnight shift 
Location: 30 Washington Street, Somerville, MA
Pay rate: $19.00 Hourly

Job Description:

As a  Hotel Security Officer , you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our premises, assets, personnel and it's patrons. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Patrol the property on foot, including multiple stairwells
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and report incidents or maintenance concerns
  • Restrict unauthorized access and engage confidently with the public
  • Maintain a visible presence to reassure residents and guests
  • Conduct routine checks of common areas, hallways, and hotel amenities
  • Respond to guest concerns, disturbances, and emergencies
  • Write clear, detailed daily activity and incident reports
  • Ensure all access points and restricted areas remain secure
Requirements :
  • Prior overnight or hotel security experience is a plus
  • Ability to walk for extended periods and climb stairs regularly
  • Strong observational, communication, and de-escalation skills
  • Professional and confident when addressing individuals or enforcing rules
  • Experience in residential, hospitality, or commercial security is helpful
