GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE: As a Hair Care Specialist, you will engage with guests to provide personalized consultations and recommendations for their hair care needs. Delivering top-notch professional services with an eye for the complete guest experience is at the core of this role. Collaborate with team leaders to achieve performance and service excellence while embodying a passion for beauty and exceptional customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performance:
• Execute various hair services, including haircuts, coloring, styling, treatments, and makeup applications.
• Achieve an average sales target of $800 weekly and contribute to the overall store goals related to service and retail sales.
• Stay updated on industry trends, products, and services to enhance guest services.
• Assist in promotional events to elevate the guest experience.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• People:
• Build lasting relationships with guests through effective consultations and recommendations.
• Deliver excellent customer service and uphold salon standards.
• Collaborate with team members to provide a well-rounded guest experience.
• Engage guests with loyalty program information.
• Participate in mandatory training for continuous improvement.
• Process:
• Ensure adherence to Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Keep the salon clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Utilize booking systems for guest appointments and follow-ups.
• Follow loss prevention practices to protect company assets.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Current cosmetology license is required.
• Experience: Previous salon experience preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency in modern hair techniques, strong communication skills, and the ability to foster strong customer relationships.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Frequent mobility, including bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
• Occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs.
