Brow Waxing Expert – Ulta Beauty Join to apply for the Brow Waxing Expert role at Ulta Beauty This role plays a key part in Ulta Beauty’s service by maximizing Benefits brand sales and delivering exceptional guest experience. The Brow Waxing Expert (AE) is responsible for driving sales and providing high‑quality services including eyebrow/facial waxing, tweezing, tinting, and more. General Summary & Scope The AE engages guests to determine their needs, assists in product selection and purchase, performs short services, and supports the Experience Manager through performance, guest service, and compliance. An active license in Esthetics or Cosmetology (as required by law) is required. Principal Duties & Responsibilities Meet or exceed Benefit brand sales and service goals, contributing to store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni‑channel, and retail shrink. Ensure each guest receives exceptional service by greeting, engaging, and personalizing service and recommending complementary products, samples, and services. Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and guest experience. Perform short services at the Brow Bar, including eyebrow and facial waxing, tweezing, eyebrow tinting, strip lash applications, and threading in accordance with all Ulta Beauty policies. Use appointment book or system to book guests’ appointments for initial and repeat services and events. Meet average sales per labor hour and sales-to‑service ratio goals. Stay informed on industry trends, product ingredients, and benefits to better serve guests. Maintain punctual attendance. People Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates and guests. Participate ongoing Benefit and Ulta Beauty training, including training parties, team meetings, and brand education. Build and maintain strong customer relationships and an active clientele portfolio. Maintain relationships with Benefit brand partners through required trainings and store events. Create and maintain partnerships with Prestige consultants and salon professionals to promote teamwork. Share guest loyalty program benefits, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app. Collaborate with managers and associates to help grow the business. Process Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and standards. Follow all safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures before, during, and after services; comply with state board guidelines. Adhere to the Ulta Beauty and Benefit brand dress code, including wearing brand assets as directed. Keep the Brow Bar area replenished, signed, faced, and compliant with hygiene standards. Communicate supply needs to store management in a timely manner. Maintain outstanding store operational standards in all areas. Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory, and shipment processing using Benefit brand tech. Protect company assets by following loss‑prevention best practices. Execute other operational tasks as directed. Job Qualifications Education High school diploma preferred. Cosmetology or esthetics license where required by state law. Experience Experience in makeup application, eyebrow and facial waxing, tweezing, and tinting preferred. Proficiency with equipment needed to perform technical work. Skills Significant competency in sales, products, and service. Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to handle guest concerns promptly and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Strong communication skills. Special Position Requirements Work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Attend brand‑sponsored trainings. Working Conditions Continuous mobility, frequent standing, pulling, pushing, crouching, stooping, reaching, bending, and twisting during the shift. Continuous lifting and/or moving up to 10 lbs; ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects during the shift. The pay range for this position is $17.00 – $25.50 per hour. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business needs. Eligible associates may also earn overtime pay as required by law and tips paid by service guests.
