The Bankruptcy Associate Attorney will provide legal support and representation in bankruptcy cases, working directly with clients to navigate complex financial challenges. This role requires a thorough understanding of bankruptcy law and an ability to manage cases from inception through resolution. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and a deep commitment to client advocacy. Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Consultation:
    • Conduct initial consultations with clients to assess their financial situations and determine applicable bankruptcy options.
    • Provide clear explanations of the bankruptcy process, outcomes, and potential risks involved.
  • Case Management:
    • Prepare and file necessary legal documents for bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and statements of financial affairs.
    • Maintain organized case files and ensure all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with legal standards.
  • Court Representation:
    • Represent clients in bankruptcy court hearings and negotiations with creditors.
    • Advocate for clients' interests during various stages of the bankruptcy process.
  • Legal Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct thorough legal research on bankruptcy laws, regulations, and case law to support client cases.
    • Analyze client cases to develop effective legal strategies and options.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with senior attorneys and other legal staff to discuss case strategies and share insights.
    • Participate in case reviews and professional development opportunities to enhance legal knowledge.
    • Education: Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.
    • Experience: Prior experience in bankruptcy law or related legal field preferred.
    • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Licensure: Must possess a valid law license to practice in the state.
