*Position Overview:*

Straus Meyers, LLP is seeking a highly motivated Associate Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic team of 15 attorneys. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation and a keen interest in insurance defense. As part of our team, you will handle a wide range of responsibilities, from case analysis to trial preparation, all within a supportive and collaborative environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth within a well-respected firm.

Full Remote position available for experienced counsel.

*Key Responsibilities:*

* Represent clients in various phases of litigation, including pleadings, motions, discovery, pre-trial proceedings, and trial preparation.
* Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, and other documents to support the defense of insurance claims.
* Engage in deposition and discovery processes, including witness interviews and expert consultations.
* Provide insightful analysis and recommendations regarding legal strategy and coverage issues.
* Collaborate closely with senior attorneys, partners, and clients to ensure high-quality legal representation.
* Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and arbitration proceedings as appropriate.

*Qualifications:*

* Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
* *Admission to the state bar in California*
* 3-6 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense or related fields.
* Strong analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards and confidentiality.

*Preferred Qualifications:*

* Experience with insurance coverage litigation and/or working directly with insurance carriers.
* Proficiency in legal research platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $156,210.00 per year
