ASSISTANT PROFESSOR – Organismal Biology and/or Marine Sciences
Thomas More University, located in Crestview Hills, KY, in the Greater Cincinnati metropolitan area, is a small, private liberal arts university offering undergraduate and graduate programs. The Department of Biological Sciences invites applicants to apply for a full-time, renewable, assistant professorship beginning August 2026. A Ph.D. from a regionally accredited university is required. This is a non-tenure track position with the possibility of elevation to tenure track in the future. The position requires broad training in the field(s) of organismal and/or ecological biology , including the expertise to teach upper-level undergraduate courses such as Animal Behavior, Marine Biology, and Invertebrate/Vertebrate Zoology . In addition, the successful applicant will be expected to teach various lower-level courses for majors and non-majors. The position will support our marine biology program through partnerships with the Newport Aquarium and the WAVE Foundation (Newport, KY).
Successful candidates must provide evidence of quality teaching experience. In addition to teaching, the position will require academic advising for departmental majors, service on university committees, continuing scholarly engagement, and collaborative research with undergraduate students.
